The Senior Manager, Catchment Expansion initiatives, leads the planning and execution of complex technology programs aligned with the bigger Walmart last-mile strategic objectives. This role oversees program definition, risk mitigation, and rollout planning across multiple projects. By fostering strong stakeholder relationships and driving collaborative decision-making, the position translates business needs into actionable technology solutions. The role champions continuous improvement, supports talent development, and upholds high standards of integrity and accountability to deliver impactful results that advance organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in program management, including business case generation, opportunity sizing and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of technology strategies and ability to align projects with overall business objectives.
  • Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management, relationship building, and effective communication across teams.
  • Experience in scenario planning, risk assessment, and mitigation to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Ability to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Proficiency in business operations and decision-making to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Capability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence outcomes through sound recommendations.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business,information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years’ experience inproject management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Option 2: 7 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.

  • Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 4 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring catchment expansion initiatives, ensuring solutions are considered at scale, and the rollout is come collaboratively.
  • Develop and manage business case generation, project plans, rollout plans, and optimize resource allocation to meet program goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable technology solutions and foster productive relationships.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies through scenario planning to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Establish performance metrics, monitor progress, and implement continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting accountability and professional growth.
