About The Position

The Senior Manager, Operations – Front End leads strategic initiatives that drive consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across front end store operations, with a focus on Cash Management. This role partners across Operations, Treasury, EBS, Finance, AP, and Field teams to ensure alignment and execution of key priorities. It also supports senior leaders by shaping operational strategies, preparing executive-level communications, and providing visibility to initiatives, risks, and performance. About the team: The Operations Strategy, Support & Store Fulfillment team drives operational excellence across Walmart’s extensive network of stores and associates. This team leads the development and deployment of key initiatives, shaping strategies that enhance both physical and digital operations. By collaborating cross-functionally, the team continuously improves processes, supports business goals, and accelerates success. Members contribute to innovative solutions that optimize efficiency and performance, playing a vital role in advancing Walmart’s retail operations and ensuring impactful outcomes across approximately 4,600 stores and over 1.3 million associates.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in operations and project management, including directing complex work streams and managing timelines.
  • Strong skills in process improvement, business efficiency, and developing innovative operational solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to support continuous learning and operational excellence.
  • Experience in operational efficiency initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into actionable plans
  • Data analysis skills with the ability to derive insights and inform decisions
  • Program and project management experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to establish and track performance metrics and drive accountability
  • Strong communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations , or related field and 3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize associate workflows within Cash Management.
  • Evaluate programs and initaitives to ensure business needs are met.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, AP, EBS, and Field) to build scalable, standardized processes.
  • Drive improvements through gap analysis, root cause identification, and user feedback.
  • Partner with senior leaders to define goals, metrics, risks, and dependencies across initiatives.
  • Analyze business and customer needs to enhance operations and expereince.
  • Lead large-scale initiatves, manage timelines, and execute solutions.
  • Monitor performance metrics to track success and enable continuous improvement.
  • Build stakeholder relationships to drive alignment and influence outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuity.
