About The Position

Activera Consulting is a Houston-based boutique consulting firm specializing in digital transformation and data-driven strategy, primarily for clients in Oil & Gas, EPC, and Private Equity. The Manager/Senior Manager leads complex digital and organizational transformations at the intersection of strategy and execution. The role manages high-stakes projects, drives business development, mentors consultants, provides thought leadership, and contributes to client and internal initiatives with increasing autonomy and leadership responsibility. The position is based in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid/client-site work arrangement. The role designs and executes strategies in areas such as change management, AI integration, and IT strategy; leads cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies; and applies expertise in data lifecycle, cloud infrastructure, or organizational design to improve project performance. It also serves as a primary contact for executive stakeholders, expands existing accounts, wins new business, and develops engagement strategies and communications that align stakeholders. The Manager/Senior Manager mentors junior consultants, fosters collaboration and innovation, and contributes to Activera’s tools and methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transformational Leadership, Data Analytics, or a related field.
At least 8 years of management consulting experience.
At least 5 years of prior business development and account management experience.
Mastery of project management (PMP, Agile/Scrum) and/or change management frameworks (Prosci ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step).
Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to inspire audiences of all sizes.
Leadership style focused on supporting teams and leading by example.
Comfort working in a boutique environment and taking on multiple responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree or MBA.
Deep experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, EPC, or Private Equity.
Experience with AI readiness or digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Design and execute client strategies in change management, AI integration, or IT strategy.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver work on time, within scope, and within budget using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Apply expertise in data lifecycle, cloud infrastructure, or organizational design to optimize project performance.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to support project continuity.
Serve as the primary point of contact for C-suite and executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CEOs, and COOs.
Expand existing client accounts and pursue new business opportunities.
Develop engagement strategies and communication plans that align stakeholders across organizations.
Mentor and coach junior consultants through the Activera Advisor Program.
Foster innovation, excellence, and collaboration within project teams.
Contribute to Activera’s proprietary tools and methodologies and share best practices.
Lead proposal strategy, including solution design, pricing approach, and value positioning.
Cultivate client relationships, identify opportunities, and sell follow-on and expanded engagements.
