About The Position

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Manager in Houston, Texas, for its Package and Technology Enablement practice. The role leads information technology projects, including SAP advisory and implementation services, helping companies realize value from technology investments through discrete services or comprehensive solutions. The position directs project strategy, analyzes business solutions, selects appropriate SAP tools and techniques, interprets outputs, and manages service excellence and recommendations for client engagements. The Senior Manager also leads proposal development and contributes to pricing strategies, builds relationships with prospective clients and decision makers, and advises pursuit teams throughout the sales process. The role supports internal process improvement and SAP knowledge sharing through community-of-practice contributions, blogs, and other market eminence activities. The position requires 50% national travel; telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, a STEM field, or a related field, plus 4 years of related work experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent plus 6 years of progressive related work experience.
At least 4 years of experience managing project strategy and analyzing business solutions; meeting requirements involving business cases, pricing, or complex financial analysis; interpreting and reporting outputs; and using SAP Activate Methodology.
At least 4 years of experience leading business development activities, including proposal development, responses to Requests for Proposals, eminence, and point-of-view development.
At least 4 years of experience counseling and coaching, participating in staff recruitment and retention, and supporting delivery teams and staff in local offices.
At least 4 years of experience managing interactions with executives and sponsors, maintaining contact with top decision makers, and organizing and leading pursuit teams.
At least 4 years of experience leading engagement components, evaluating client businesses, modernizing core systems, and applying SAP digital solutions, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.
At least 4 years of experience leading global project teams and delivery, tracking and resolving budget, scope, and resource issues and risks, using project management tools and Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
At least 4 years of experience producing Business Blueprint, Functional Design Document (FDD), and System Configuration Description (SCD) deliverables using SAP Solution Manager (SolMan).
At least 4 years of experience leading and managing large SAP Logistics Execution (LE) implementations in the Oil and Gas industry using SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Material Management (MM).

Responsibilities

Lead information technology projects, including SAP software advisory and implementation services.
Direct overall project strategy by analyzing business solutions, selecting SAP tools and techniques, interpreting outputs, and reporting findings.
Manage service excellence by identifying key account issues, determining project needs, evaluating and validating analysis, and developing engagement recommendations.
Lead information technology project proposal development and contribute to proposal pricing strategies.
Build relationships with qualified targets and decision makers to identify opportunities; manage the pursuit process and advise pursuit teams.
Improve internal processes and promote SAP knowledge sharing through community-of-practice participation, blogs, and other market eminence activities.
Lead business development activities, including proposal development, responses to Requests for Proposals, eminence, and point-of-view development.
Coach and counsel staff; participate in recruitment and retention activities; and provide leadership and support to delivery teams and local-office staff.
Manage day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors, maintain relationships with top decision makers, and organize and lead pursuit teams.
Lead engagement components involving evaluation of client businesses, modernization of core systems, and SAP digital solutions.
Lead global project teams and project delivery, tracking and resolving risks and issues involving budget, scope, and resources.
Execute client deliverables, including Business Blueprint, Functional Design Document, and System Configuration Description, according to specifications and timelines.
Lead and manage large SAP Logistics Execution implementations in the Oil and Gas industry.
