About The Position

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee-owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin and has been awarded “Top Workplace” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years in a row.

Reporting directly to the Store Director and Assistant Store Manager, the Manager on Duty coordinates day-to-day store operations during an assigned shift. The role monitors store operations, appearance, and staffing; serves as the first point of contact for general operational or supervisory concerns and emergencies; and addresses customer needs, wants, and complaints requiring special attention or action. The position promotes positive customer, community, and employee relations, as well as team cooperation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a lead role within a retail or grocery environment.
• Ability to perform department operations, practices, and procedures in a retail or grocery environment.
• Self-directed and results-oriented, with the ability to project a positive business image and lead by example.
• Good attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Good customer relations skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with weights, measures, scales, and tallying unit product retail prices.
• Ability to make basic computer entries required for the position.
• Ability to operate department equipment safely and efficiently; must be at least 18 years old to operate certain equipment.
• Ability to work flexible shift schedules, overtime, and weekends.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements outlined in the job description.

Responsibilities
