About The Position
Burke Williams Day Spas is seeking an inspiring and motivating Manager on Duty to help lead the team and ensure the spa’s daily operations run efficiently, safely, and smoothly while delivering exceptional customer service. The role balances operational oversight, team leadership, and individual guest connections. Managers on Duty set and achieve goals with their teams, uphold Burke Williams standards, and help create memorable guest experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys connecting with guests and team members, listening actively, making timely decisions, and creatively solving problems. Burke Williams describes itself as a family-owned company that promotes from within and supports employee development and career growth. The company has operated in the wellness industry since 1984 and has eleven locations across California.
Requirements
- Ability to connect with guests and team members on an individual level.
- Ability to make timely assessments and decisions suited to unique situations.
- Creative problem-solving skills, including finding unique ways to resolve conflicts or issues.
- Willingness to engage personally with team members and employees rather than work in a desk-based role.
Responsibilities
- Create an inspiring team environment with open communication.
- Motivate team members to transform guests’ days and hold them accountable to Burke Williams standards for performance, dress code, and other expectations.
- Monitor team performance through training and feedback, identify training needs, and provide coaching.
- Listen to team members’ and guests’ feedback and resolve issues or conflicts in a mutually beneficial way.
- Recognize and reward individual and team performance.
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and team camaraderie.
- Oversee day-to-day spa operations, including opening and closing, cash reconciliation, and balancing schedules, to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently.
- Ensure Burke Williams standards are met throughout the spa.
- Inspire the team to go above and beyond in creating memorable guest experiences.
