About The Position

The Donor Resources Manager manages the Donor Resources Department for an assigned division, aligning production opportunities with organizational needs to achieve goals and efficiencies. The role works with Account Managers and Donor Resources Recruiters to oversee blood-drive rebooking, planning, and logistics in line with inventory and usage projections. The manager exercises discretion and judgment, evaluates reporting staff members’ metrics, and manages their performance. The position represents TBC as a role model for the organization’s values, ethics, and culture, and requires the ability to handle difficult situations and reach agreements among diverse stakeholders. The manager directs and develops staff, supports leadership development, tracks goals and performance metrics, and coordinates with the Donor Resources Business Development Manager and other departments to maintain an accurate, efficient blood-drive schedule. The role also supports recruitment and retention of sponsor organizations, conducts blood-drive visits and quality checks, helps with customer-service follow-up, and promotes HemaConnect donor recruitment software through public relations, training, presentations, and hands-on relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or three or more years of blood-banking experience, or three or more years of proven outside-sales experience in a service-related industry.
Outside-sales, marketing, or customer-service experience.
Valid driver’s license with no major infractions and dependable transportation.
Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously with patrons, donors, sponsors, and coworkers.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work with all levels of staff in a diverse work environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

Maintain awareness of current events and trends in the blood industry.
Direct Account Managers and Recruiters in the assigned division.
Coordinate with the Donor Resources Business Development Manager to complete the blood-drive calendar by the weekly deadline.
Work with the Donor Resources Business Development Manager to assign calendar openings to Account Managers and follow up to ensure the schedule is full.
Motivate and develop subordinates and cultivate leaders through role modeling and leadership-development opportunities.
Analyze Excel reports and interpret data.
Review scheduled blood drives in advance to evaluate and maintain efficiency and accurate goals.
Work with all departments to achieve efficiency, accuracy, and monthly goals.
Track monthly goals and set expectations for Account Managers.
Monitor Account Managers’ goal-making metrics and assign their schedules.
Manage Recruiters’ goal-making metrics and assign their schedules.
Schedule, interview, and select department candidates with assistance from the Director of Donor Resources.
Coordinate with Donor Services to ensure changes are communicated and updated promptly.
Make changes to blood drives when needs dictate.
Develop working knowledge of the HemaTerra Technologies product suite.
Promote HemaConnect donor recruitment software through public relations activities, onsite coordinator training, presentations, and hands-on relationships.
Implement strategies that help staff retain and manage sponsor organizations.
Develop new approaches to recruitment and operational strategies.
Conduct onsite blood-drive visits.
Call or visit blood-drive coordinators to assess Account Managers’ performance.
Perform quality checks to ensure essential information in HemaCollect is correct and timely.
Assist Account Managers with rebooking and retaining blood drives on the calendar.
Assist with customer-service follow-up with blood-drive coordinators.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
