About The Position

Murad is seeking a Manager, National Accounts to join its National Sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Operations, this role owns the acquisition and liquidation channels end to end, including secondary-market retailers such as TJ Maxx and Ross, subscription boxes such as Ipsy, FabFitFun, and Allure, and broadcast retail placements such as Good Morning America steals and deals. The role drives profitable growth in alignment with Murad’s brand strategy and marketing calendar. The manager leads sales processes, timelines, forecasts, deliverables, internal approvals, cross-functional follow-up, and partner communications. They identify growth opportunities, secure relevant placements, develop SKU-level forecasts and margin models, and coordinate with supply chain, operations, and finance to support profitable deals. The role also owns channel activation calendars and business reviews, and develops standardized processes in a small, fast-moving team. The position is based at Murad’s headquarters in El Segundo, California, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work two days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday. Travel is not required. The anticipated base salary range is $95,000–$115,000; actual compensation depends on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The position primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires communication, use of standard office equipment, and remaining stationary for periods of time.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in headquarter selling or retailer account management.
  • Direct experience with TJ Maxx, Ross, or subscription-box programs such as Ipsy, FabFitFun, or Allure.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills, including managing, analyzing, and communicating forecasts, pricing, COGS, and margin analyses.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for business from deal negotiation through execution and recaps.
  • Strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and business writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, proactively seeking answers, and building SOPs and processes without waiting for direction.
  • Ability to independently develop clear, accurate, audience-appropriate materials and presentations for internal leadership and external partners.
  • Attention to detail and precise execution in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Beauty or skincare category experience, including familiarity with category margins, product lifecycles, pitching newness and core assortment, channel-appropriate product routing, brand strategy, and marketing calendars.
  • Operations or supply chain experience, including cross-functional work involving quantities, routings, inventory, and demand planning.
  • Oracle experience, including pulling and analyzing SKU-level sales, forecasts, and margin data to identify opportunities.
  • Experience with logistics software or shipping platforms and operational follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales process, timelines, forecasts, deliverables, internal approvals, cross-functional follow-up, and communications for assigned national retail partners and channels.
  • Define the strategic role of each customer, identify partner-specific growth opportunities, and secure placements that maximize brand relevance, consumer reach, and margins.
  • Deliver SKU-level, bottoms-up sales forecasts and demand plans; coordinate with supply chain and operations on units, pricing, and inventory to meet targets and maintain margins.
  • Develop margin models and deal parameters, ensure deals meet finance-approved margins, and route discontinued or excess product to appropriate channels rather than high-visibility placements.
  • Own the channel activation calendar and lead business reviews and post-program recaps, presenting performance trends, learnings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively find answers across teams, document learnings in SOPs and standardized processes, and help the team operate more nimbly.
  • Validate forecasts, pricing, COGS, SKU, and inventory data against source documents; manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
