About The Position

The Manager, Information Technology is a hands-on role covering the applications, infrastructure, and security that Silicon Ranch runs on. The company has grown to more than 400 legal entities and over 200 operating projects, and this position adds depth and capacity to a deliberately small IT team. The work is broad and may include administering business applications, building system integrations, resolving escalated identity or endpoint issues, tuning security controls, automating manual processes, and evaluating vendors. Success requires familiarity with systems, processes, and stakeholders; independence; clear communication; and sound judgment when handling confidential financial and personnel information. The role supports the Senior Manager, Information Technology in partnering with the business and owns assigned applications, implementations, integrations, IT operations, security and compliance activities, automation, and vendor and project management. It also provides technical continuity and decision backup when the Senior Manager is unavailable. The position is onsite at Silicon Ranch’s Nashville, Tennessee headquarters five days per week, with occasional after-hours work for cutovers, maintenance windows, and incident response.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive information technology experience, including at least 3 years at a manager or lead level with direct ownership of enterprise systems or major projects.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of partnering across departments to understand work processes and solve process problems with technology.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID in a production enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of Intune or a comparable mobile device management platform.

  • Ability to work onsite at Silicon Ranch’s Nashville, Tennessee headquarters five days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and manage the lifecycle of assigned business applications, including access management, upgrades, and vendor coordination.
  • Lead system implementations end to end, including requirements, vendor evaluation, configuration, data migration, testing, cutover, training, and adoption.
  • Build and maintain integrations between business systems to eliminate duplicate data entry and manual handoffs.
  • Maintain process documentation, configuration standards, and runbooks.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex endpoint, identity, network, and application issues.
  • Administer cloud identity and endpoint management platforms, including conditional access, compliance and configuration policies, application deployment, and device lifecycle management.

  • Monitor ticket volume, service levels, and issue trends, and address root causes.
  • Provide technical continuity and decision backup for the IT function when the Senior Manager, Information Technology is unavailable.

  • Support SOC 2 and internal control requirements, including user access reviews, onboarding and offboarding controls, change management, and audit evidence; partner with departments on IT general controls and segregation of duties.
  • Contribute to phishing triage, security awareness, and incident response.
  • Design and build internal automations and integrations using scripting, workflow automation platforms, and REST APIs.
  • Contribute to the company’s AI program by evaluating tools, building AI-assisted workflows for business teams, and tracking adoption and results while applying governance standards for data security, access control, output validation, and auditability.
  • Run IT projects end to end, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder communication, and post-implementation review.
