The Manager In Training (MIT) program at Circle K is designed to develop individuals into successful store managers. This role involves learning and executing all aspects of store operations, including leadership, customer service, site management, training, communication, organization, planning, and financial analysis. The MIT will gain hands-on experience in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing a team, ensuring the store meets company standards for cleanliness, stocking, and presentation. The position requires developing positive relationships with suppliers and customers, resolving complaints professionally, and promoting a safe and positive community image. The MIT will also be responsible for performance appraisals, employee training on customer service and safety, and ensuring effective communication within the team. Financial responsibilities include analyzing sales and expenses, budgeting, forecasting, managing merchandise margins, and safeguarding company assets. The role operates in a retail environment with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including temperature extremes and noise, requiring a high degree of independence and effective leadership.
