About The Position
The Manager, Imaging Services oversees daily operations and strategic development of the imaging department, ensuring high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services. The role manages imaging staff, monitors equipment, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with radiologists and other departments to enhance service delivery and the patient experience. The manager applies diagnostic imaging technology and regulatory standards; develops and implements policies, protocols, and procedures to measure and improve service quality and customer satisfaction; manages staffing, training, performance, and communication; and oversees safety for patients, staff, and the public.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in another field, or a combination of education and/or additional imaging-related experience in lieu of the degree.
- Minimum of three years of diagnostic imaging experience.
- Two years of experience managing or supervising in a related imaging field.
- One of the following credentials upon hire: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer; Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT); Registered Vascular Technologist; or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography.
Responsibilities
- Manage the application of diagnostic imaging technology and regulatory standards.
- Adopt, develop, and apply policies, protocols, and procedures to measure and improve the quality of diagnostic imaging services across departments and improve customer satisfaction.
- Manage personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training, and effective communication.
- Manage the safety of diagnostic imaging service activities and create a safe environment for patients, staff, and the public.
- Oversee daily operations and strategic development of the imaging department.
- Monitor imaging equipment and collaborate with radiologists and other departments to enhance service delivery and patient experience.
