About The Position

The Manager Designate works at the direction and under the supervision of the General Manager to ensure compliance with the Company’s product and customer service standards. The role involves team-oriented leadership, sound decision-making, and promoting pride and accountability among team members. Responsibilities also include shift management and executing Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices. Through these duties, the Manager Designate is expected to develop the competencies required to become a General Manager.

Responsibilities

Ensure delivered products meet Papa John’s standards and accurately reflect customer orders.
Communicate, train, and promote quality standards to team members using available tools, including the Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.
Recommend team-member performance actions to the General Manager; promote a quality- and customer-focused team atmosphere built on teamwork, energy, and fun.
Manage sales goals through prompt, friendly customer service, team-member product training, sales execution, local restaurant marketing, and community presence.
Manage profit goals and keep food, labor, and other controllable costs within budget; correct budget deviations using the PROFIT System.
Execute administrative and cash management duties.
Plan and manage inventory levels using the restaurant’s computerized inventory system to meet sales demand and minimize loss.
Protect company assets by keeping the restaurant clean and fully equipped, ensuring equipment operates properly, and maintaining safety and security standards.
Manage shifts and execute Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.
Develop the competencies required to become a General Manager.
