About The Position

The Manager of Consumer Insights for Popeyes plays a vital role in uncovering consumer insights to inspire meaningful brand interactions with our guests, drive profitable growth for franchisees and support the strategic objectives of Popeyes and Restaurant Brands International (RBI). This role involves using a blend of quantitative and qualitative research techniques to answer high-priority business questions and provide actionable insights that inform marketing and operational strategies. This role will report directly to the Director, Guest Insights & Intelligence. This role will manage one direct report, and will be responsible for their work-product & development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research or Market Intelligence role (client-side or supplier-side), with demonstrated strength in translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Degree, certification or training in fields of Psychology, Consumer Behavior, Market Research or Economics
  • Proven ability building strong relationships and fostering collaboration across agencies, suppliers, and internal teams to drive high performance
  • Passionate about driving a culture of consumer centricity, with a player-coach mindset
  • Comfortable operating in high paced environment while navigating ambiguity
  • Experience with design thinking and agile research principles
  • Prior people management experience strongly preferred
  • CPG and/or QSR industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the consumer champion, ensuring the Popeyes guest (and potential guest) perspective remains at the heart of decision making
  • Provide thoughtful analysis that goes beyond surface level data to uncover rich insights, and drive actionable reporting
  • Manage day to day working relationship with Category, Brand Marketing and Culinary team, ensuring stakeholders are aligned with research objectives, and timelines.
  • Owns a particular area of the function (e.g. brand health, concept testing, innovation, digital, etc.).
  • Lead primary research projects end-to-end from research design through reporting to support our cross-functional category, brand, creative and culinary teams.
  • Assists the Director of Consumer Insights & Intelligence in conceptualizing foundational & ad-hoc studies.
  • Leads the development, execution and presentation of custom research projects, and analysis of syndicated data sets.
  • Ensures the consistency of studies and that suppliers meet Popeye's standards
  • Synthesizes the key brand and consumer insights across studies.
