About The Position

The Manager, Capital Market Operations leads the daily operations of the Capital Markets Operations team, ensuring accurate, efficient, cost-effective, and compliant service. The role manages operational risk, supports department priorities, and develops team members. It collaborates with vendors to make effective use of system functionality and serves as a subject matter expert in resolving operational issues. The manager also plans and facilitates continuous-improvement projects, manages workflow, supports budget planning and expenditures, and performs people-management functions.

The role follows a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of two days per week in the office, at 922 Walnut St, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. The stated annual base salary range is $93,000 to $123,500. Depending on job level, the position may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the investment and Capital Markets operations industry, including best practices.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and ability to collaborate with business partners to implement processes supporting compliance and operational effectiveness.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 years of Capital Markets Operations experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Capital Market certifications (SEI, Series 52, 53), or ability to successfully pass the required certification tests within 9 months of hire.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and team performance, ensuring timely, accurate, cost-effective service to internal and external customers in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure efficient use of available system functionality and resolve day-to-day operational issues as a subject matter expert.
• Plan and facilitate projects that drive continuous improvement and align with department priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to implement department strategy and manage workflow, providing guidance on projects and issues and coaching tailored to direct reports' needs.
• Perform management functions including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations, and disciplinary action as required.
• Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant information effectively to team members.
• Support budget management, planning, and expenditure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
