About The Position

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets across an assigned geographical area. The Manager will lead and oversee all regional Sales and Marketing activities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals. This position involves representing the company with customers, industry organizations, authorities, and key stakeholders, while managing and strengthening relationships with global customers, key accounts, interline partners, and other strategic business partners. The role requires monitoring market trends, customer demand, and profitability to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and business growth. Collaboration with internal departments such as Route Management, Pricing, and Charter is essential for optimizing cargo flows and pricing strategies. The Manager will also oversee GSA activities, manage revenue performance, and approve sales-related vendor invoices. A key aspect of the role is leading, supporting, and developing supervisory and managerial staff within the region, including performance management. The position holder will identify and pursue new business opportunities while ensuring exceptional customer service and protecting the company's commercial interests. Regular reporting of market intelligence and performance updates to the Area Vice President is required. The role also involves supporting stations in securing capacity and meeting customer service requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in air cargo, airline sales, marketing, commercial management, or a related aviation field.
  • Strong knowledge of air cargo markets, revenue management, pricing strategies, network planning, and commercial operations.
  • Proven experience managing customer relationships, key accounts, GSAs, and strategic business partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, profitability, and commercial performance to drive business growth.
  • Experience leading and developing multicultural teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region and internationally.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and execute approved sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets across the assigned geographical area.
  • Lead and oversee all regional Sales and Marketing activities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market opportunities.
  • Represent Cargolux with customers, industry organizations, authorities, and key stakeholders at a corporate level within the assigned region.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with global customers, key accounts, interline partners, and other strategic business partners.
  • Monitor market trends, customer demand, flight load factors, yields, and profitability to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and business growth.
  • Coordinate capacity allocation and utilization between stations in collaboration with Route Management to maximize network performance and profitability.
  • Work closely with Route Management, Pricing, Charter, and other internal departments to optimize cargo flows, pricing strategies, and charter sales opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage station and regional revenue performance, ensuring achievement of assigned revenue and (flight) profitability targets.
  • Oversee GSA activities, including pricing, sales performance, contractual compliance, and contract renewals or revisions.
  • Review and approve sales-related vendor invoices and ensure expenditure remains aligned with budgetary and contractual requirements.
  • Lead, support, and develop supervisory and managerial staff within the region, including responsibility for performance management and personnel decisions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while ensuring exceptional customer service and protection of Cargolux's commercial interests.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, station performance updates, and commercial insights to the Area Vice President.
  • Support stations in securing required capacity and meeting customer service requirements while maintaining professional expertise and industry knowledge.
