About The Position

The Business Development Manager is a regional, field-based sales role serving the greater Atlanta market, with regular in-office collaboration at the Atlanta, Georgia office and local travel throughout the assigned territory. The role acquires new high-potential accounts for ODP by building relationships with decision influencers, decision makers, end users, buyers, and prospects through in-person sales activities such as networking, relationship building, company visits, and cold-calling. The position makes sales and solicits customer orders and contracts, with an emphasis on generating long-term profitability and revenue from net-new accounts. The manager also grows ODP’s share of wallet among existing customers by selling additional products and categories, including office-supply and non-office-supply offerings, and coordinates with specialists as needed. The role services current customer revenue, bringing in customer service or sales support to maintain satisfaction and identify further spending opportunities. It also involves developing and implementing sales plans and initiatives, maintaining accurate customer information in ODP’s CRM, and providing management with updates and reports on account activity, forecasts, and customer feedback. The role requires regular travel away from the employee’s usual place of business to meet customers and make sales, often with little or no supervision. Compensation has a 50/50 mix of base salary and variable incentive; variable compensation is uncapped and based on sales performance. The position is expected to contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.
