About The Position

The Area Business Development Director works with two or more Hospital CEOs to ensure marketing initiatives are carried out throughout the assigned area. The role is responsible for inpatient and outpatient census across multiple hospitals through the design and implementation of referral programs and customer service strategies. The director oversees the inpatient admission process, manages, trains, and develops the hospital-wide Business Development Team, and serves in a senior leadership role.

The director creates an environment and culture that enables the hospitals to fulfill their mission by meeting or exceeding goals, conveying the hospital mission to staff, holding staff accountable for performance, and motivating staff to continuously improve. The role also supports a culture focused on patient safety and patient-centered treatment.

Responsibilities

• Work with two or more Hospital CEOs to ensure marketing initiatives are carried out throughout the assigned area.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient census across multiple hospitals through referral programs and customer service strategies.
• Design and implement referral programs and customer service strategies.
• Oversee the inpatient admission process.
• Manage, train, and develop the hospital-wide Business Development Team.
• Serve in a senior leadership role.
• Promote an environment and culture that enables hospitals to fulfill their mission and meet or exceed goals.
• Convey the hospital mission to staff, hold staff accountable for performance, and motivate continuous improvement.
• Promote patient safety and patient-centered treatment.
