About The Position

The Business Development Manager is a regional, field-based sales role covering the greater Atlanta market, with local travel and regular collaboration in the Atlanta office. The role focuses on acquiring new high-potential accounts for ODP by building relationships with decision influencers, decision makers, end users, buyers, and prospects through in-person sales activities such as networking, company visits, and cold-calling. The manager sells and solicits orders or contracts, presents ODP’s offerings using its strategic pricing strategy, and builds long-term profitability and revenue through net-new account acquisition. The role also grows share of wallet in existing accounts by selling current, additional, and new-category products across office-supply and non-office-supply categories, involving specialists as appropriate. The manager services existing customers, bringing in customer service or sales support as needed, and maintains accurate customer information in ODP’s CRM. The position requires ownership of data integrity and work-product accuracy, creative business planning, sales initiatives, and regular updates and reports to management. The employee customarily and regularly works away from their regular place of business to meet customers and make sales, with little or no supervision.
