About The Position

The Manager, Assisted Living leads team members and supports resident-centered care in an assisted living community. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting, training, supervising, and staffing team members; providing nursing care and medication administration; and coordinating resident admissions with the community’s multidisciplinary team. The manager may occasionally fill in on weekends as Manager-On-Duty.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Candidates may be considered with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience.
• Strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident symptoms, and developing approaches to meet resident needs.
• Experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1–2 years of management experience directing or providing care for seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, supervise, and staff team members.
• Implement resident-centered care.
• Provide nursing care, including health assessments and resident care plans; discuss changes in resident condition with physicians; and introduce fall-reduction interventions based on individual needs.
• Administer medications and assist with resident care as needed.
• Coordinate the resident admission process—including screening, assessment, and care planning—in conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team.
• Occasionally fill in on weekends as Manager-On-Duty.
