About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Assisted Living / Memory Care is responsible for accurate and timely medication administration, treatments, documentation, and emergency response support in the Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods at Freedom Village Bradenton. The role includes direct resident care as needed and a commitment to preserving residents’ self-respect, dignity, comfort, and safety while assuring continuity of care and services.

Requirements

Hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Florida.
Have a minimum of 6 months of nursing experience.
Be able to create a warm, friendly, and compassionate first impression.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer medications accurately and safely.
Administer treatments, including dressings, catheterization, suctioning, and oxygen therapy.
Assist with direct resident care as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of medications administered and care rendered.
Assist with resident admission and discharge procedures.
Respond to resident emergency call systems as indicated.
Make rounds with physicians and transcribe orders.
Keep physicians and families informed of changes in resident condition.
Maintain each resident’s self-respect, dignity, comfort, and safety.
Assure continuity of care and services.
Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor.
