About The Position

The Mammographer performs a full range of screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures and other imaging procedures, including bone densitometry and stereotactic breast biopsy. The role is open to experienced professionals and new graduates, including candidates who can interview now and start after graduation.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration as a radiographer is required.
• ARRT registration as a mammographer is required, or the candidate must be registry eligible as a mammographer.
• Valid State of Ohio Radiologic License is required.
• Must be certified in Mammography through ARRT or meet Mammography Quality Standards Act criteria as registry eligible in the performance of mammography.
• Must meet all prerequisites to sit for the ARRT Mammography-specific registry.

Nice To Haves

• Prior mammography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures and other imaging procedures, such as bone densitometry and stereotactic breast biopsy.
• Accurately document pertinent patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and service lines, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain positive communication with patients and families.
