About The Position

The Spa Attendant works as part of the MOKARA Spa team to provide a high standard of guest service and create a sensory journey that helps guests rest, relax, and regain balance. The role also supports the hotel Fitness Center and spa facilities, including locker rooms, relaxation areas, and the hammam, sauna, steam room, and whirlpool areas. The Spa Attendant greets and assists guests, prepares locker amenities, escorts guests and explains services, offers tours and refreshments, and communicates spa promotions and treatment or retail opportunities. The position maintains facility cleanliness and readiness, performs general cleaning and minor maintenance, supports guests in spa ritual and relaxation areas, and helps resolve guest concerns while keeping management informed.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a customer-service-based position.
Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English; ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with guests and staff.
Commitment to exceeding customer expectations and strong attention to clients’ needs.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Must obtain a State of Florida TIPS Alcoholic Beverage Server Permit.
Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or an entire work shift.
Ability to perform repetitive motion, including using a telephone or computer for an extended period or an entire shift.

Responsibilities

Maintain the Fitness Center according to Omni standards.
Greet guests; set up lockers with robes and slippers; provide beverages; and check guests in and out.
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the spa facility, locker room, and Fitness Center.
Escort guests to locker rooms and relaxation areas and explain their services.
Perform daily general cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in the spa facility.
Open and/or close the hammam, sauna, steam room, and whirlpool areas, and sanitize them daily.
Pre-sell, upsell, and cross-sell services and retail products to guests.
Explain product and service benefits and suggest retail products and treatments.
Provide spa tours and offer or serve beverages and snacks.
Assist guests in the ritual area, relaxation space, and jacuzzi as needed, supporting exceptional experiences and safety.
Communicate spa promotions to guests.
Resolve guest challenges in a timely manner and inform management of situations.
