About The Position

The Make Ready Technician’s primary responsibility is to restore vacant apartment units to market-ready status in a timely manner. The position also performs general repairs and assists with maintenance of the property’s interior and exterior. The technician demonstrates a strong commitment to serving internal and external customers and represents the company professionally and courteously.

Requirements

• General maintenance and safety experience.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge needed to perform job functions.
• Ability to regularly perform manual, task-oriented work under direct supervision.
• Provide own industry-specific hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; maintain full range of motion; stand, walk, bend, stoop, crawl, climb stairs, grasp and manipulate with both hands frequently, push or pull items, and reach overhead.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle onsite, if applicable.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and replacements in a timely manner to restore units to move-in-ready condition and company standards, using industry-specific technology.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and upkeep related to exterior grounds and property common areas.
• Help identify and correct hazardous community conditions and liabilities, and report hazards to the Community Manager and Service Manager.
• Help ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed and documented according to BH program guidelines.
• Maintain and secure property-issued tools.
• Post notices to vacate and other community communications, if applicable.
• Comply with OSHA and other safety requirements, as well as applicable federal, state, and local codes and internal maintenance policies, initiatives, and systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
