About The Position

We are seeking a Service Technician I for a 314-unit apartment community in Shreveport, Louisiana. The technician prepares vacant units for new residents, performs general upkeep of property grounds and common areas, and helps ensure apartments are move-in ready. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is hourly non-exempt. Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; weekends may be required as circumstances warrant, and the position is on call one week per month. A valid driver’s license in Louisiana or a neighboring state in proximity to the property is required. The application process includes criminal background checks and drug screens.

Requirements

At least 6 months of previous maintenance experience at an apartment community, commercial building, or single-family residence.
Meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
Valid driver’s license in Louisiana or a neighboring state in proximity to the property.

Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs and maintenance.
Complete a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
Walk property grounds and common areas and pick up trash and debris.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.
