About The Position

The Make Ready Technician prepares vacant apartments for new residents by completing basic repairs, painting, cleaning touch-ups, and detailed inspections. The role ensures each unit meets quality standards and that systems and appliances are working properly. It supports the maintenance team and leasing goals by completing turns on time, maintaining the make-ready area and supply inventory, and assisting with curb appeal projects and minor work orders. This is an onsite, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate plus commission. The role can provide a path to growth within property management and maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience with basic apartment or home repairs, such as painting, drywall, and hardware.
• Ability to manage time and complete tasks independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Availability to work Saturdays; the community is closed Sundays, and the weekday schedule is flexible.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in apartment maintenance, turns, or construction.
• Bilingual abilities.
• Willingness to grow into a full maintenance technician role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing basic repairs, painting, and cleaning tasks.
• Inspect units for quality and ensure systems and appliances are working properly.
• Replace light fixtures, hardware, screens, locks, blinds, and other standard items.
• Report major repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager.
• Support the maintenance team with curb appeal projects and minor work orders.
• Meet make-ready timelines to support leasing goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized make-ready area and supply inventory.
