About The Position

The Make Ready Technician works under the direction of the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. The role performs groundskeeping, housekeeping, preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, janitorial services, and apartment refurbishing and renovation to support curb appeal and the quality of apartment homes. The technician also responds to service requests, maintains records of completed tasks, and helps maintain storage areas and maintenance materials. In the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, the technician carries out community maintenance responsibilities, including scheduling staff and vendors, ordering supplies, and coordinating improvements with the Community Manager. The position is for Cora, a brand-new lease-up property.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior custodial, housekeeping, or apartment experience.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of the storage area and maintenance materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments according to company standards.
• Walk the property daily to check curb appeal and apartment quality.
• Notify the Community Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific problems, such as asbestos.
• Keep accurate records of completed tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.
• In the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence, carry out community maintenance responsibilities, including scheduling staff and vendors, ordering supplies, and working with the Community Manager on improvements.
• Complete service requests according to company standards.
