About The Position

The Make Ready Technician ensures vacant apartment units are restored promptly to market-ready status and performs general repairs and assists with maintenance of the property's interior and exterior. The role requires a strong commitment to serving internal and external customers and representing the company professionally and courteously.

The position performs repairs, replacements, and upkeep across apartment units, exterior grounds, and common areas; supports preventive maintenance and hazard identification; and follows company, safety, and applicable code requirements. The technician works under direct supervision and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• General maintenance and safety experience.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge required to perform job functions.
• Ability to perform regular manual, task-oriented work under direct supervision.
• Provide own industry-specific hand tools.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet business needs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use industry-specific technology to ensure repairs and replacements are completed on time and units are restored to move-in-ready condition within company standards.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and upkeep related to the property's exterior grounds and common areas.
• Assist in identifying and correcting hazardous community conditions and liabilities, and report hazards to the Community Manager and Service Manager.
• Assist in ensuring established preventive maintenance programs are followed and documented according to BH program guidelines.
• Maintain and secure all property-issued tools.
• Post notices to vacate and other community communications, if applicable.
• Comply with OSHA and other safety requirements, as well as applicable federal, state, and local codes and internal maintenance policies, initiatives, and systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
