About The Position

As a Make-Ready Technician at Deerfield Estates, you will prepare vacant apartment units for new residents by cleaning, repairing, and maintaining them to high standards of quality and appeal. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help create a positive living experience for residents and families. The role also includes general property maintenance, grounds upkeep, and responding to emergencies while on call.

Requirements

• Ability to provide and use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills with residents and vendors.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Pool certification, EPA certification, HVAC certification, and Fair Housing Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general painting, sheetrock, and carpentry repairs.
• Check, repair, or replace plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, HVAC, and window coverings as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Perform general cleaning and trash-out tasks at the property.
• Assist with property grounds repairs and maintenance.
• Perform general repairs onsite to protect the property and residents.
• Refurbish residences prior to occupancy.
• Be on call for emergencies.
