About The Position

The Make Ready Technician assists with custodial and general maintenance duties related to apartment turns at a multifamily residential property. Duties include heavy cleaning, painting, repairing apartment interiors, and performing basic maintenance tasks. The technician reports needed repairs to the maintenance supervisor to help ensure the property meets regulated standards. The role works under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor and supports Maintenance Technicians with apartment-turn and preventive-maintenance work orders. It also requires providing friendly, empathetic, responsible customer service to residents.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in commercial property or multi-unit residential property.
• High school diploma or GED; 3–4 years of experience may offset the minimum education requirement.
• Self-motivated and able to work as a team player.
• Communication, interpersonal, attention-to-detail, customer-service, and personal-accountability skills.
• Computer and smartphone literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally and in writing, for work-related responsibilities.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on property needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance for apartment turns under the maintenance supervisor’s guidance, including drywall repair and painting.
• Clean vacant apartments and common areas.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with work orders related to apartment turns and preventive maintenance.
• Provide residents with friendly, positive, empathetic, and responsible customer service.
• Report needed repairs to the maintenance supervisor.
