About The Position

ELS is hiring a full-time, year-round Maintenance Worker in Donna, Texas. The role performs a variety of maintenance duties to help ensure the community meets ELS quality maintenance standards. Duties include light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and janitorial work. The Maintenance Worker collaborates with management and other staff to keep the property clean, safe, appealing, and in good working order. The position may require moving heavy objects, driving maintenance trucks around the property, and being on call for after-hours emergencies.

Requirements

Valid driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

Ensure amenity spaces are well maintained and working properly.
Maintain grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
Work with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
Communicate regularly and professionally with maintenance workers, management, and staff, and collaborate on special maintenance projects.
Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
Move heavy objects and, when needed, drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property.
Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
Perform light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, janitorial work, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Be available on call for emergencies that arise after hours.
