About The Position

ELS is hiring a full-time, year-round Maintenance Worker in Donna, Texas. The role performs varied maintenance duties—including light appliance repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, and janitorial work—to help ensure the community meets ELS quality maintenance standards. The worker helps keep amenity spaces and grounds clean, safe, appealing, and in good working order; works with management and other staff on daily maintenance and special projects; reports concerns and performs repairs; and monitors maintenance inventory and supplies. The position requires moving heavy objects, may involve driving maintenance trucks around the property, and includes being on call for after-hours emergencies.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
Willingness to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

Ensure amenity spaces are well maintained and working properly.
Maintain grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
Work with management to maintain a clean, safe, and appealing property.
Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
Communicate professionally with maintenance workers, management, and staff, and collaborate on special maintenance projects.
Report maintenance concerns to management and perform repairs.
Move heavy objects and, as needed, drive maintenance trucks to locations on the property.
Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
