About The Position

The Maintenance Training Manager oversees all training activities for maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company manuals, and customer expectations. This role develops, administers, and maintains training programs, training materials, and authorization records while coordinating closely with Maintenance leadership and external training providers.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in education or training; aviation maintenance required.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P).
  • Skilled in communication, organization, Microsoft Office, media technology, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs.
  • Strong planning, organizational, written/verbal communication, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, analyze situations objectively, make sound decisions, and interpret budgets and financial data.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and training documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and administer training programs for maintenance employees.
  • Determine formal classroom training needs in coordination with Maintenance Department management.
  • Coordinate with customers on projects-in-work to identify potential training needs.
  • Develop, review, and update training aids, programs, and manuals.
  • Review templates for course handouts, lesson plans, outlines, descriptions, objectives, and schedules.
  • Provide support for Training Manual development.
  • Audit and maintain Training Department recordkeeping systems for compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure all maintenance authorization lists are kept current.
  • Provide access to factory and manufacturer training for qualified technicians and inspectors.
  • Determine original and recurrent training needs consistent with work performed.
  • May delegate authority to qualified personnel during periods of absence; however, delegation does not relieve overall responsibility.
