About The Position

The Maintenance Trainer teaches internal and external customers about the multifamily industry, property-management maintenance, and related certifications. The role requires industry certifications as a trainer and product expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other areas of property-management maintenance. It involves extensive travel and is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry-related experience.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, managers, and coworkers.
• Specialized training or a high level of knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or pool operations.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness and ability to meet extensive travel requirements.
• Understanding of effective teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with and engage the Association Education Committee’s training platform.
• Train customers and internal teams using curriculum to increase industry awareness and knowledge.
• Attain and maintain certifications in HVAC and pool courses to retain trainer status.
• Work with the Coordinator to book class venues and meals.
• Review surveys to monitor success and identify areas for improvement.
• Review class attendance to ensure proper payment.
• Submit monthly expense reimbursement reports with corresponding receipts.
