About The Position

The Maintenance Trainer teaches internal and external customers about the multifamily industry, property management maintenance, and related certifications. The role requires product expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other areas of property maintenance, as well as industry trainer certifications. The position involves extensive travel and is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Be willing and able to meet extensive travel requirements.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience.
• Have good interpersonal skills and effectively communicate with vendors, managers, and coworkers.
• Have specialized training or a high level of knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or pool operations.
• Be fluent in English and Spanish.
• Have an understanding of effective teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with and engage the Association Education Committee’s training platform.
• Train customers and internal teams on curriculum to increase industry awareness and knowledge.
• Attain and retain HVAC and Pool course certifications to maintain trainer status.
• Work with the Coordinator to book class venues and meals.
• Review surveys to monitor success and identify areas for improvement.
• Review class attendance to ensure proper payment.
• Provide monthly expense reimbursement reports and corresponding receipts.
