About The Position

CONAM Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Glen Ridge Apartments in Carlsbad, California. The technician supports apartment-community operations and curb appeal by performing upkeep, repairs, and apartment turnovers, while providing responsive service to residents and collaborating with the maintenance and property management teams. This is a full-time, temporary position paying $26.00–$27.00 per hour. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliance repair, and general carpentry.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment, including drills, saws, grinders, electrical testers, HVAC systems, and plumbing tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, team members, and vendors.
• Commitment to providing excellent resident service.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a background check, employment verification, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and other equipment.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, resolving them promptly and professionally.
• Inspect, repair, and clean units during turnovers to prepare apartments for new residents.
• Maintain community curb appeal through landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Collaborate with technicians, contractors, and property management staff to maintain the multifamily community.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and operational standards during maintenance activities.
• Perform additional duties as required.
