About The Position

TREK Development Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Falconhurst and Crescent properties, which have a combined 66 units. The technician performs inspections, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance, and responds to resident service needs. The role calls for pride in workmanship, practical day-to-day maintenance problem-solving, and a commitment to supporting a high-quality, community-focused housing environment. The position operates under the direction of the Community Manager.

A $500 sign-on bonus is paid after 30 days of employment. After 90 days, employees may opt to adjust their schedule to four 10-hour shifts or Tuesday through Saturday each week. The role may include evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call work to support emergency repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of multi-site, multifamily, or multiproperty operational management experience, preferably managing a portfolio with mixed residential property types, or comparable experience in hotel, resort, or retail management.
• At least two years of advanced hands-on experience in one or more trades, such as plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliance, or electrical repair.
• Valid driver's license.
• Child abuse clearances and a background check are required.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school education and/or industry-trade certifications or degrees, such as NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, or HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform necessary repairs to vacant apartments for new residents.
• Respond promptly and professionally to service requests and on-call emergencies.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace items and systems, including HVAC components, windows, doors, cabinets, appliances, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, roofing, walkways, painting, carpeting, and drywall.
• Follow RRP protocol for painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs as needed.
• Help maintain the property's exterior and grounds, including snow removal.
• Complete work orders promptly and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and components.
• Know the locations of utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanouts.
• Participate in weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service-call duties.
