About The Position

This is a full-time Maintenance Technician position in a food manufacturing environment. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and responds to breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Technicians follow food-safety and OSHA requirements, maintain tools and spare parts, and keep the work area clean. The position offers opportunities for advancement. Starting pay is $33.50 per hour, with an additional $2.00 shift differential for work from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The schedule is night shift, 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
• Follow food-safety rules and use appropriate cleaning procedures and food-grade materials in production areas.
• Perform emergency repairs during production to restore equipment operation and minimize downtime.
• Manage spare-parts and tools inventory.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety rules, and keep the work area clean.
• Complete work orders and enter required paperwork into a computer.
