About The Position

SSH Facilities and Stanley W. Cooper are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic with boiler-system maintenance experience. The role is part of the Stanley W. Cooper, Inc. team, with employment, responsibilities, and reporting handled by that team. The technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including boiler systems, in residential settings and steam and hot-water heating systems in residential and light commercial settings. The role emphasizes independent problem-solving, reliable customer service, and does not require selling or meeting quotas.

Requirements

At least 3 years of HVAC experience with demonstrated competence in boiler maintenance.
Ability to problem-solve independently.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials as required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

Valid HVAC license or certifications.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including boiler systems, in residential settings.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial steam and hot-water heating systems.
Diagnose and repair burners, ignition systems, gas valves, circulators, zone valves, pressure controls, and safety devices.
Perform preventative maintenance and modifications as needed.
Diagnose hydronic heating problems involving circulation, air elimination, expansion tanks, zoning, and system pressure.
Perform seasonal maintenance, safety inspections, combustion analysis, and efficiency evaluations.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and longevity.
Provide exceptional customer service and work independently.
