About The Position

Visium Resources is recruiting an experienced HVAC / Boiler Service Technician for a direct-hire, on-site position serving New Haven and Fairfield County, Connecticut. The technician will support commercial and industrial heating, cooling, and boiler systems by independently diagnosing equipment issues, completing repairs, and maintaining reliable system performance. The role requires applicable Connecticut S-2 and/or D-2 trade licensing, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on HVAC and boiler service experience.

Requirements

• Connecticut S-2 and/or D-2 license.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and servicing HVAC and/or boiler systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and service documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned Connecticut service territory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience servicing commercial or industrial boilers and related heating equipment.
• Familiarity with combustion systems, burners, hydronic heating, and boiler controls.
• Experience working with multiple equipment manufacturers.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC and boiler systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment malfunctions.
• Service heating systems, boilers, burners, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical components.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Respond to service calls and provide timely, effective solutions to equipment issues.
• Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and Connecticut licensing requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal service teams.
