Join our team in Bolingbrook, IL, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving our coil processing operations. In this role, you'll work directly with specialized equipment including coil slitters, coil packaging lines, traverse winders, forklifts, and other material handling systems. We're looking for a proactive, safety-focused technician who doesn't just fix problems, but spots opportunities to prevent them before they happen. Requirements

  • Experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Forklift operating experience and familiarity with forklift maintenance programs.
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment reliability.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery and industrial equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with coil processing equipment such as slitters, rewinders, packaging systems, or similar machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
  • Support critical coil processing operations, including maintenance of: Coil slitters Coil packaging lines Traverse winders Material handling equipment Forklifts and related systems
  • Perform and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Identify potential equipment failures before they impact production and recommend corrective actions.
  • Dismantle defective machinery and install new or repaired equipment.
  • Complete facility and building maintenance projects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation.
  • Coordinate with and oversee outside contractors performing maintenance and repair services.
  • Partner with operations teams to improve equipment performance, safety, and productivity.
  • Support Lean manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform all work safely while following company policies and PPE requirements.
