About The Position

The Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman repairs common service problems associated with manufactured housing and helps maintain a successful model home center. The role requires varied handyman skills and a commitment to customer service, including promptly responding to service calls and completing repairs thoroughly and on time.

The position involves general property maintenance, completing service requests, preventative care for HVAC and other systems, and repairing exterior and roof damage. The technician must be able to work in varied environments and perform physically strenuous tasks. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Numerous and varied handyman skills.
• Reliable, dependable, and friendly, with a solid work ethic and pride in work.
• Strong organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a high level of customer satisfaction and strong customer relations skills.
• Hand-eye coordination and physical strength; ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb.
• Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Endurance to perform strenuous tasks.
• Ability to safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold and rain or snow.
• Ability to contribute to a team environment and work cooperatively and collaboratively.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Repair exterior and roof damage.
• Promptly respond to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
