About The Position

The Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman helps maintain a successful model home center by repairing common service problems associated with manufactured housing and delivering excellent customer service. The role involves responding promptly to service calls and completing repairs thoroughly and on time. It requires varied handyman skills, organization, dependability, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The position offers hourly pay starting at $24.00, with the amount depending on experience, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Numerous and varied handyman skills.
• Reliability, dependability, friendliness, a solid work ethic, and pride in work.
• Strong organization, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to a high level of customer satisfaction and strong customer relations skills.
• Hand-eye coordination and physical strength; ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb.
• Ability to lift and move items such as furniture, wallboard, and water heaters weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Endurance to perform strenuous tasks.
• Ability to safely climb ladders.
• Ability to work in all environments, including extreme heat or cold, rain, and snow.
• Ability to excel in and contribute to a team environment; cooperative and collaborative approach.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems.
• Repair exterior and roof damage.
• Respond promptly to service calls and complete repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
