About The Position

The Parts Associate is responsible for the administration and routine operation of parts storerooms. The role contributes to the organization’s success by ensuring storerooms are properly stocked and organized with maintenance parts needed to operate the facility. The job setting includes the plant maintenance shop and plant floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parts inventory by ordering, issuing, and receiving maintenance parts from an approved list of vendors.
• Issue received parts to open work orders and place them in the proper storeroom locations.
• Ensure inventory is ready and available for use.
• Communicate with stakeholders and participate in parts cycle counts.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians to ensure parts availability and issue parts for use.
• Use the maintenance software system to enter data, generate reports, and track parts usage.
• Assign received parts to open work orders.
• Maintain inventory control documents.
• Verify shipments and quantities received.
• Collaborate with suppliers regarding late deliveries.
• Obtain vendor quotes for parts.
• Issue purchase orders.
