About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a Maintenance Engineer at Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico, an oceanfront resort in Rio Grande. The role performs a variety of maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and HVAC systems; painting and wall repair; tile work; and upkeep of the resort’s preventative maintenance program. The engineer works closely with team members and is expected to be responsive, detail-oriented, and engaging.

The position also covers general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with repairs to appliances, house wiring, air-conditioning systems, plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, sanitary systems, woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, and carpeting. The engineer maintains task records and logs, prepares reports as requested, submits required documentation on time, and carries out instructions and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver's license.
• Knowledge of basic repair skills, including plumbing, electricity, and painting.
• Previous experience in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push or pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air-conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and similar items.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Maintain records and logs of completed tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports as requested by supervisors and submit requested reports and logs in a timely manner.
• Carry out instructions and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor, along with responsibilities required by the position.
• Maintain the resort or hotel’s preventative maintenance program.
