About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer for Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico. The role performs a variety of maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment; HVAC work; painting; wall repair; tile work; and upkeep of the resort's preventative maintenance program. The engineer works closely with other team members and is expected to be adaptable and engaging.

The position offers an opportunity to develop at a resort property. The successful candidate will perform general building and facility maintenance, keep required records and logs, prepare reports as requested, and complete tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico is an oceanfront resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, with 579 guest rooms and more than 36,918 square feet of meeting space.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid Puerto Rico driver's license.
• Knowledge of basic repair skills, including plumbing, electricity, and painting.
• Previous experience in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push or pull throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and related items.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Maintain records and logs of completed tasks as required by company policy and procedures.
• Prepare reports as requested by supervisors and submit requested reports and logs in a timely manner.
• Carry out instructions and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor and fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
