About The Position
Tarantino Properties is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to maintain the building and grounds at its community in the Houston - Briar Forest area. The role involves routine upkeep and special work orders, apartment make-ready tasks, basic HVAC and plumbing repairs, pool equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance. The position includes rotating on-call responsibilities for emergency maintenance requests.
Requirements
- HVAC (A/C) certification required.
- Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Pool certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation.
- Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units.
- Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs.
- Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation.
