About The Position

Palms Associates is seeking a Maintenance Assistant, also described as an Apartment Turn Technician, for The Mews Apartments & Townhomes in Durham, North Carolina. The community has 352 units and is built, owned, and managed by Palms Associates. The role focuses primarily on apartment turns and interior repairs to prepare homes for incoming residents. It is suited to someone with basic maintenance or construction experience who wants to develop skills and grow in apartment maintenance. The position offers consistent work and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

One year of apartment turnover or general maintenance experience is preferred.
Basic carpentry and repair skills, including drywall repair, door installation, and minor interior repairs, are a plus.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or appliance repair is a plus.
Self-starter with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and mobile devices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual ability.
