About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Environmental Services Director with the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department. The role performs general maintenance duties, including painting, basic plumbing and electrical repairs, and carpet cleaning, and helps maintain the Environmental Services Log and complete work orders in a timely manner. The position may require working in a motor vehicle. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and have experience in painting, drywall, and basic knowledge of carpentry.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have experience in painting and drywall and basic knowledge of carpentry.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to carry such weight.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions.
