About The Position
The Activity Associate assists in creating, planning, and implementing the Connections program, which provides daily activities for residents. The role supports residents’ leisure contentment and physical, mental, and psychological well-being. The position is full-time and starts at $18.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or another related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or service-related setting.
Responsibilities
- Enter resident information in multiple systems.
- Attend care plan meetings with families and residents.
- Collect resident profiles.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the community’s Connections activity program.
