About The Position
Heather Heights is seeking a full-time or part-time Maintenance Aide to support the maintenance team in keeping the facility in good condition and providing a pleasant environment. The role maintains the facility and grounds, performs repairs and preventive maintenance, and helps keep equipment and resident rooms in proper working order. The listed starting rate is $18–$21 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour for weekend work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to meet the minimum physical requirements to perform job duties.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility grounds and building exteriors on a daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance in resident rooms to ensure everything is in proper working order.
- Assist with moving materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Perform required routine preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing, following manufacturer and warranty specifications.
- Ensure maintenance duties comply with manufacturer specifications and local Health Department regulations.
